The Life Of A “Criminal”

The Life Of A “Criminal”
In the day I sleep. Nights, I run. Trying to get far away from here. The Prison. I practiced day and night, Lifting Weights, Running. Preparing my escape. My name is Kaleb, I get called KJ. Three years ago, They put me in jail for shooting someone but I really didn't do it. I have a wife and A kid. So that's when I said I would get out, When I heard my son holler Daddy!

December 24th, When I was out buying my kids Christmas present some man came up to me and said “Give me your money, Or I'll pull the trigger.” But I said no, I quickly pushed the gun away and hit him in his nose. But by the time I had did that, He had accidentally shot the store's cashier. A woman called 911, As the robber ran away, She said “Yes, We have a man shot” Then she told them I shot him. So I waited there trying to tell them I didn't shoot, but they didn't believe me. So they took me away, And I'm here now. About to do it.

I have already contacted my wife, And she has gone and hid a backpack in the woods. Carrying food, Water, A Gun, Map, Shoes, Money, And clothes. As I crept out of my cell, There was A guard at the end of the hall And one down on the other end. The person beside me was a fighter. So I picked up a little rock from inside my cell, And launched it at his head. He was furious, As his roommate was standing up he punched him right in his face to draw both the cops attention. As I snuck out, I went to the control room where two guards were asleep. I hit the button, And you heard a buzzer. Waking two of the guards up, I dashed out of there. I unlocked the roof hatchet. I pulled myself up thankfully. Guards were swatting at my legs like I was a fly. As I walked on the roof, I looked for a way to jump down, I had to move... Fast. But there was one guard. So I picked up a rock and threw it on the other side of the roof making enough noise for him to think something was up. The hatch was still open. As he put his head down there I pushed him in and shut it. I then lowered myself down. Were I had to face two cops. As I picked up a rock, I walked up to the cop, And covered his mouth and hit him in his Temple. Dropped dead. As I slid him in the dark, I grabbed his knife. I walked over and hit the second one with my fist and he hit me back. I then through a quick right hook and upper cut. Knockout. He was the heavy one. To many donuts, Huh? I climbed the bobbed wired fence very carefully. I had to go cut the electricity off, Cause If I hadn't I would have been bacon. As I flipped over. I thought to myself, Who knew it would be so easy to escape.. Not.

As I go to our “Location” I get my stuff. But I told you at night I run, And day I sleep. So I ran 3 or 4 miles that night. Then slept. As I pulled out my map I looked and traced in my head where I needed to be going to get home. One night was weird. I kept tripping because there was traps everywhere. I was out in the middle of no where why would they be here? All of a sudden a light flashes on me, Shotguns, pistols, Machine Guns Are pointed right at me. But it wasn't the cops. Instead it was farmers? They tied me up, stuffed me in there van and took off. I arrived at their house at about 12 at night. They took me in to this beautiful woman, Not doing much. I think she was drunk. The man asked her “What do you want to do with this trespasser.” She said Hang him in a real low mean manner. The ugly fat man shouted “Where”. “In the Dining room” replied the woman. So they did, I stood up there and had a rope around my neck when they lifted me up in the air. I hung there for about thirty seconds and then they dropped me, The lady hollered and hollered because I wasn't tied up right. She said untie him, And they did. Like they listened to everything she said.

As they untied me and went into the other room, I laid there thinking about my bag. The gun. I ripped it out, And pulled it on them. One of them grabbed his gun, So I shot him and so did the other so I shot him too. It was me and the girl. I tied the girl up and punched her real hard so I could escape. So I ran out and got as far away as I could.

I headed back to the fields and slept for the night. I had told my wife, If I am not at the Mexico border In 5 days. Then I'm dead, or Captured. As I approached the third day, I came up to this car with four feet hanging out of it. It was a man, And a girl. She was screaming. She was being raped. I ran into the car and threw the man off, He grabbed a knife out. But before he could grab it, And point it at me, I had grabbed it and killed him. The woman said her name was Becky. She was a pretty lady, And rich too. She was driving a Benz. I told her my story and she said she would help. We were driving down a dirt road into town, All of a sudden... We heard cops. They pulled us over, She said I'll handle them. She got out, And gave them some kisses, And a card. They left. I asked how she did it, She said she'd never tell. We pulled up in this restaurant and I felt like someone was watching me.

She had stacks of cash, So she went and bought me new clothes . She payed for us a hotel room. It was day five. We needed to get on the move. We slept there that night, And I got a shower the next morning. I got my new clothes. I was ready. So as I opened the door of the hotel room, The cop I had pushed down the latch was standing there with a shotgun at my torso. He backed me up into a dresser, With a vase of flowers on it. He was explaining why he wanted to kill me... So as soon as he was about to pull the trigger I slung the glass vase at his face and hit him. I handcuffed him to the bed so he couldn't leave, As I left with his gun. We got down the road, And there he was...

It was a car chase now. I had to be careful, I couldn't hurt this beautiful lady. As I swerved into the other lane he did too, I went off road and jumped on this ramp and landed right beside him. He lifted a pistol and shot through our window. As I grabbed the girl and pulled her down the bullet scraped my hand. I turned left to make his car go in some bushes. The red paint on his Chevrolet was all scratched with bush marks. He didn't see ahead what I did. I kept running him left hoping he would hit this big hill and flip. He did, He hit this heel and his car did 4 flips until it finally rolled on its side. It was all smashed in, I have no idea how he survived. As he crawled out, He was unarmed and said “I have to tell you something.” As I said what is it. He replied with “I knew you were innocent this whole time but I had to get you back for pushing me down..” We both laughed at that. He said I am getting to old for this police, pursuit crap. I said yeah, Me too. We shook hands, And he watched me drive away. As I drove to the border, I got out and told the girl thank you, And gave her a little kiss on the cheek. I said “I wouldn't have made it without you.” She said No problem. Told me bye and watched me leave. She liked me, I know it.

As It was the sixth day, At twelve o' clock. I walked down the highway, To the border and saw my wife and son waiting there. They had the biggest smile on there faces. As my son ran up he jumped in my arms and hollered daddy, daddy. I hugged him so tight, I thought I was never going let him go. Then there was my wife, Running behind me son. I grabbed her up and gave her a big kiss and a big hug. I told them I have missed them, And I told them I loved them. We walked to the car from the border with Hands locked.

Sometimes, Practice Is Cruel.

  Sometimes, Practice Is Cruel.
By: Weston Edwards

This is ultimately the fundamental lesson known by stars. And as you dribble and pass, You win the game, And you lose some, But the winners stay on top.

Sometimes the points drop and just wont stop. Sometimes the loses, Take you for a run. Sometimes injuries ruin all the fun. And sometimes, Thats like fighting a giant.

Sometimes you'll win the fight. And always lose the war, We keep going. We get hit with a quick jab, But get right back up. And we keep going. This is the price of being human. And also, Most times, Turns up bad.

Sometimes the game is cruel, But you have no choice but to take it and win. But what if we lose? Surely, We'll be last, I'll have to remember the streak thatw as so good, Now down the drain. The worst team in the wetstern conference saw the best team roll up, And got smashed. The didn't lose the war, They gave up. Most of the fans watching were upset and mad. But we were the ones sitting at home in kick back chairs, While the coach is in the locker room kicking chairs. Bad enough, It was only halftime. Bad enough, The one star they had, Had only 10 points. That don't help them at all. Bad enough, The coach is ticked, its gonna be another L in the column today. Bad enbough, At the end of the day we still lost.Sometimes the bench warmers wonder, "Am I ever gonna get in"?

But after they game they will look ahead. And practice and practice, Till they can't be Beat. They will be the best. When I get tired and wanna give up, I remeber this; I hated every minute of practice, But I told myself, Suffer now and live your life as a champion".

The View Of The World

My View Of The World
By: Weston Edwards

8:43
Hey's and Hi's shouted out from across the room when I walked into work on the 99th floor of the World Trade Center. It was a beautiful day, It was Sunny, And warm. You could just feel the sun kissing your skin. Up there on the 99th floor, You could see the view of the world great.

8:45
There's was a girl I liked, Oh I also forgot to mention that I was 24 and not married yet. But I was a very successful man. I went to college to play sports but I got hurt and majored in business and then I was in there. I had an apartment not to far from it either. I had a regular family. Mom, Dad, And a younger brother. But back to that girl,  Her name was Sarah, Long legs, Blonde hair, And amazing Blue eyes. She had on a little skirt on that day with a tank top. As she walked over to the printer near the window, she put her papers in, Then the worst things happened.

8:46
That so lovely, beautiful girl that walked in that day was now split into 40 pieces by a plane? Wait, Is that a plane? It was! All over the radio was “Terrorist Attack, Get out of the building”. I repeat GET OUT OF THE BUILDING!

8:48
As I dashed to the exit door, Fire gaped up and bit my nose. I turned around and ran to the center of the floor. As I stood there, I thought of my last words to my mom, and My dad. Things fell from the gaping hole the plane had left. Desks, Lamps, Chairs. Beneath my eyes my world was falling. Literally. As I stood there, I saw people jumping off the side's. Wondering why they would be throwing their lives away like that. But then I turned and realized, That the fire has spread. So I ran in the plane and hollered and checked but everyone was dead or wounded pretty severe. There wasn't really no point in saving them because the plane was about to plummet back down to the ground, 99 flights down. But it's awful, I heard screaming and crying. There wasn't anything anyone could do. You had three choices, To Jump, Run through the fire and hope you make it or burn, And the last one... Stand there and just go with it. As time was wasting down, I had to make mine. I couldn't make up my mind, I didn't want to jump because I would hit the ground... Hard. I didn't want to stand there and take it because It would hurt, And there is a chance I could make it if I run through the fire. So that's what I went and did. I ran, And took a leap. The flames and heat were insane! As I ran into the stairway, I saw the fire rising. Quickly. So I turned and hoped for the best, I looked around. Then I did the dumbest thing, I just sat down on the ground and waited. I was the only one on the 99th floor. I thought to myself “Who would think building this high up wouldn’t have parachutes in it”. But then that light bulb in my head flickered on, That emergency box on the wall...

8:50
I saw the other plane zoom by the place and then hit a couple floors below me, I saw that the tower had tilted on its left. I looked in the emergency box trying to buy me some time. It had in it; A Flashlight, Band aids, Cutting knife. Just as I moved something around something fell from the roof and grabbed my leg like a wire, I fell but before I did, I grabbed the cutting knife and cut at it while it lunges me over the side. I dangled there with a knife in my hand, hanging from a wire in the ceiling. I heard screams from people watching in the bottom.

8:52
I got my self up straight were my feet are facing the ground. I looked down, and all I saw was police men, Police cars, And the people that had jumped. Rocks falling from above, Trying to avoid being hammered in the head by one of them. I then started to cut the wire. Gosh, I was so miserable. Dangling there. But I started to drive the knife into the wire, Back and forth, Back and forth. Snap, then the rope broke and then I was hanging on to the side of the building 99 stories up. But since I was athletic and strong I pulled myself back up. Just as I got back up into the building I saw wires flaring and sparking. So I was covering my head and looking. Then I saw a nice silk jacket belonging to Sarah, it was sitting on the back of the chair. It was black, A little big so then I grabbed it and leaped out the gaping hole trying to glide down breaking the fall. I stopped some of the speed, But I was still going very fast. I then saw that the jacket was ripping, So I just let go and closed my eyes 45 floors up...

2012
Yes, I did survive. It was crazy, Frightening and yes, I think I peed myself a little when I just jumped off and leaped. But I did it, I am pretty sure my best friend, Didn't make it. One Saturday I went to the 9/11 wall in New York and I look at names on the wall. I see mine and my best friend was under mine. I guess I was the lucky one to hit one of the big air mattresses they put out on the road. They never told me. I am now 36, And a survivor of 9/11.

Review Of The Hunger Games

Review Of The Hunger Games

The Hunger Games movie was very good. It was a thrilling, Seat grabbing movie. It could have been better but It was good. The First thing I want to point out is how good the actors did. They acted very, very good. Their appearance was very great too. I just felt like the acting and their apperance fell into each other perfect.

The second thing I want to point out is, The action. The action was good.  But not great. It would have been better if they would have shown the kills. Instead of flipping the camera real fast. But the things that happen action wise was was very realistic, Like when Katniss blew up the Careers food.

So overall, I think the movie was great. They left some things out, Like the ending, And added some things like the riot of District 11. But It was a great movie. It would have been better if it would have been longer and more descriptive. But the book was better at that. So I give it Four stars out of Five.

Key To Success

The key to success is give it your best
Put the work in, Unlike the rest
Be the best, You can be. So why are you listening to me?
You should be working hard, Going non-stop.
So lets go, Walk to the door and put the key in the lock.
If you choose to turn it, Your jaw might drop.
You’ll be standing there, On top.
You may be on top of the world before you know it,
Don’t look to far, Or you’ll blow it.
One man gave you everything you got...
Or are you just gonna all let it drop.
You know I really don’t get it, Some people are really gifted.
But they do dumb things, Like shop lifting
Get caught, Your going to jail.
Then jail brings you down, Now your talents are on “FAIL”.
Or you could choose the smart path and use them and be as good as you can be.
Smart huh, Follow it, And you’ll see.
So just listen to me, I’m not that dumb.
Trust me, Ive been on  fail, And your body just goes numb.
It’s no fun, Honestly it sucks
I just laid there not wanting to get up. Stuck, Trapped in despair.
Just wanting to pull out my hair.
But I fought through it, I Got up.
I wanted to use it, The talents god has given me.
If I have to ill start from day three
I’m putting the key in the lock
So then, I can be on top.
